Considering Under Cabinet Lighting

Kitchens should be well lit in order for you to perform well. You should be able to find your ingredients and utensils easily or else a 5 minute simmering could turn into 10 minutes and your sauce would be dried up. It also helps to avoid accidents when preparing your ingredients. A well lit kitchen could help you avoid being cut or spilling out ingredients. But increasing the number of lights overhead is not enough. It would still not cover all parts of the kitchen, especially the countertop beneath the cabinets.

Countertops that are designed to be under cabinets have poor lighting because you would cast shadows on your workplace. One thing you could do is to put under cabinet lighting. These are inexpensive lights and consume small amount of electricity. They should be put 20 to 30 inches apart in order to fully maximize and enhance the use of their light. They are good for almost any kind of kitchen design because they would enhance your kitchen tiles and the countertop, especially if it is made of marble or granite. The lighting effect of these lights will help you while cooking and would surely add a spice on your kitchen.
